Software Development Engineer III

Description

The role: Senior Software Development Engineer, Consumer Electronics Tech

Tell me about Amazon Consumer Electronics (CE)

In Amazon CE, we exceed expectations against all Consumer Electronic customer needs regarding price, selection, and convenience (search & discovery, consideration, checkout, delivery, post-purchase) in order to become the largest US CE retailer (we are #2…for now). We leverage our scale as a tech company and retailer and overall Amazon bets to build sustainable competitive advantages. We invent the future of CE retail.

And what is Consumer Electronics Tech (CETech)?

We are a large (150+) and growing business, product, and technical team supporting Amazon's Consumer Electronics business to help build the future of how customers shop. We are responsible for driving business impact and new, disruptive customer experiences through technology, and our scope does not discriminate for location, device, medium, or shopping channel. We own end-to-end global, retail-wide, $1B+ programs, incubate new programs, and foster a culture of innovation through CETech Labs.

So how would I fit in?

You are an intrapreneur. You are a visionary and a builder. We need a self-directed software development leader to take our successful programs to "only Amazon can do" heights, launch our new programs, and conceive new programs/features. We expect innovation to come from every team member, and have a structure to enable continuous learning/experimentation. You will accomplish this by leveraging the talent around you, Amazon's unique advantages, and of course along with our customers. It's Day One and we're growing fast. Come along for the ride.

Sounds like me. Tell me more about the role.

We are seeking a talented Senior Software Development Engineer to help us innovate and make our mark in the "Consideration Set Management" vertical, our largest and fastest growing program with a team of 10+ and growing. You will solve meaty problems, help develop software to help customers build and curate a consideration set, one that includes all of the information they need to make a purchase decision, and manage that consideration set over multiple sessions. In addition, this role will provide an opportunity to deep dive on specific customer pain points via user research, testing and analytics, and of course build machine learning applications within the team and also in partnership with a dedicated team within CETech.

Perfect. How do I take the next step?

We'd love to meet you. To learn more, please contact Martin Volerich at [email protected]
