DESCRIPTION

How would you build the next generation of mission critical systems and services that power the details page for the billions of products, across physical, digital, and in-store experiences for all of Amazon?
Have you ever wondered who creates the details for a product that you bought on Amazon? Did you think it was a merchant? Did you know that the same product can be sold by thousands of merchants on Amazon? As millions of products get introduced every day across the planet, how does this scale? What differentiates us from everyone else?
You will invent new algorithms, build systems to experiment, and apply business rules by engaging and implementing micro-services at planet scale on
billions of records with a mind-boggling variety of products. You will work alongside visionaries who have defined some of the foundational systems at Amazon. Your breadth of impact will range from how sellers and vendors list their products with Amazon's, to how products make it through Amazon's fulfillment centers and to how our shopping customers find and discover the products they love!
We design and think at scale, leverage Amazon's cloud infrastructure and invent new solutions where traditional ones fail. We run Tier-1, mission critical systems and pride ourselves on the quality of our service that impact millions of customers across the planet. The team offers a unique blend of hard computer science problems (scalable distributed systems and high performance algorithms) and an opportunity to help the businesses model their vision on the platform.
Successful candidates are passionate about translating high-level, ambiguous business goals to software platforms that enable multiple businesses. You are comfortable taking initiative and working alongside and leading top-notch software developers.
