Amazon WorkDocs is a cloud based document storage and sharing service with strong administrative controls and feedback capabilities. We are looking for a well-rounded Software Development Engineer with a proven track record of delivering elegant, intuitive web based collaborative experiences for user centric applications as well as integrating with backend services at AWS scale. Expectations from candidate is to help us build revolutionary web client experiences as well as robust and scalable cloud services. The ideal candidate will have exceptional JavaScript/HTML skills, strong technical acumen, design, and coding skills. He/She will be will be a catalyst for change by working with the various product managers and UX designers to design and implement experiences using modern frameworks like ReactJS or AngularJS along with HTML/CSS/JavaScript. This role will also require mentoring junior team members. As a pivotal member of our engineering team, you will build and operate systems at scale. Basic Qualifications

BS in Computer Science or equivalent

5+ years of web development experience

Professional software development experience creating cross-browser compatible web-based UIs utilizing JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, JSON, and HTML

Strong knowledge of front-end technologies and frameworks like Angular JS and RESTful web services

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in automated UI testing frameworks (Selenium, Silk Test, etc.).

Experience monitoring and measuring UI experiences.

Experience troubleshooting cross-browser compatibility issues

Familiarity with directory services (e.g. LDAP) and authentication technologies

Strong awareness of emerging design patterns and technologies in Web and mobile UI space.

Ability to ramp up quickly on new technologies and adopt solution from within the company or from the Open Source community.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in, at least, one modern programming language such as Ruby, Python, C, C++, C#, Java, or Perl
