The Amazon Fire TV team delivers the experience on Amazon's market-leading streaming media devices, including the Fire TV Stick, Fire TV Cube, and Fire TV Edition TVs.

This role will primarily be focused on services and cloud-based work, however, you will need to understand how your work impacts and is impacted by the device/client architecture.

The role is inherently cross-functional, you will work closely with PMs and other Amazon teams (including other FireTV and Alexa teams) to deliver key initiatives that impact millions of customers.
This is a high visibility team where you will get a chance to make a positive impact on every aspect of customer experience.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Extensive professional experience in software development
- Proficiency in Computer Science fundamentals such as; object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
- Experience in, at least, one modern programming language such as Java, C, C++, C#, Python.
- Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through actual launch of the project
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs.
