We are seeking a software developer engineer to be part of our team to build solutions on a global scale, own mission critical systems end to end, and influence the direction of technology used by all AWS services around the world.
As an SDE You will:
• Mentor and lead junior developers on the team
• Design, implement, test, deploy and maintain innovative software solutions to transform service performance, durability, cost, and security.
• Use software engineering best practices to ensure a high standard of quality for all of the team deliverables
• Write high quality distributed system software
• Work in an agile, startup-like development environment
In this role you will contribute to a critical and highly visible software infrastructure team within the AWS. You will work with Senior and Principal Engineers and have the opportunity to hire and shape the team to best execute on the product. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
• 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
• 3+ year of non-internship professional software development experience.
• Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design.
• 2+ year of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Strong distributed systems and web services design and implementation experience.
• Experience implementing servers in a Linux environment.
• Deep expertise in either Java or C++ and proficiency with one other programming language
• Track record of building and delivering complex software systems to customers.
• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Ability to take a project from concept to actual launch.
