DESCRIPTION

The Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS) team is looking for Software Development Engineers (SDEs) to help drive the development experience of building on ECS. The ECS team is building a core set of services that allow our customers to run, manage, and deploy containers with easy and intuitive experiences. Our goal is to make it easy for developers to use cross service integrations, code packages and other tooling to get from application logic to operational service with minimal effort.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
  • 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or IT related technical discipline OR in place of 4 years of relevant industry software engineering experience.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience using Docker for packaging and deployment of applications
  • Understanding of Containerization Technologies
  • Experience with design/architecting large-scale distributed systems
  • Excellent customer focus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytic and problem solving skills.
  • Able to work in a diverse team
