Software Development Engineer - EC2 Nitro Enclaves

At the Amazon Development Center, Bucharest, part of Amazon Web Services (AWS), we work on global-scale compute platforms, with special focus on trusted compute, serverless & container virtualization technologies and server fleet tooling for AWS EC2. As a part of the EC2 Instance Platforms organization, we invent, own, and drive the building blocks that are the foundation of the cloud.
We are looking for passionate, customer-focused, self-driven software development engineers to join the teams working on high-performance virtualization, hypervisors, the Linux kernel, and the platform technologies that power AWS.
In this role, you will work on AWS Nitro Enclaves  with a focus on security and cutting-edge virtualization technologies that are the foundation of EC2. You will own and develop Nitro hypervisor features and security features that will allow customers to process highly sensitive data in a trusted execution environment. You will participate in the full development cycle from design and implementation to deployment and operations.
Our team is implementing a challenging and enthusiastic vision around cryptographic attestation and trusted computing fully owned by our AWS Bucharest office.

• BA/BS in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge in the areas of low-level software engineering and/or systems programming
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in the area of low-level software engineering, like C/C++ and Rust and Linux
• Proficient in using the typical Linux toolbox of open source software development and management tools.
• A solid understanding of Linux OS internals
• Comfortable in defining, implementing and owning products end to end.
