Amazon QuickSight is looking for a passionate, talented, and inventive Software Development Engineers to help create new ML (machine learning) powered experiences. We want to work with you to revolutionize the way people manage, visualize and interact with large amounts of data.
Amazon QuickSight is revolutionizing Business Intelligence by empowering anyone to use ML to quickly understand their data. Amazon QuickSight can already help discover hidden insights using Anomaly Detection, ML-powered forecasting, and use automatic text generation of business narratives directly from user data. But we're not stopping here! This new initiative will bring a radical set of answers to users questions within seconds by using state-of-the-art ML models help them understand and visualize their data.
About the Role ...
As a Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing creative and innovative user experiences using modern browser technologies and techniques. Your job includes working closely with Product Management to understand and clarify requirements, working closely with our UX Design team to vet proposals from a technical feasibility perspective, and add creative influence to simplify, enhance, and impact our customers. You will be responsible for the design, implementation, testing, and deployment, of a wide range of user experiences, APIs, and backend integrations. You will work closely with the entire engineering team to execute on major deliverables.

• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
• 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of overall software development experience, with an emphasis on front end engineering
• Experience with HTML5, CSS, web frameworks (React, Vue, Angular, Node, Web Components)
• Experience designing, implementing, and operating REST APIs
• Experience developing scalable and performant solutions with AWS
• Experience working with teams using Agile & Scrum methodologies
• Strong written and oral communication skills
