The Amazon Global Customer Fulfillment Operations Engineering team has an opportunity to be part of something big! The Start Up team is looking for experienced software engineers who want to build Amazon's first generation of project management resources. These tools will be primarily utilized by the Start Up project managers in North and South America, with the ability to grow globally.
As an SDE on the Start Up team, you'll work closely with some of the brightest project managers to solve highly complex challenges. You will be responsible for designing the architecture, building the software, and working with the team to pilot and deploy successful solutions to the team. The team will focus on developing automated solutions that help guarantee the software quality across a wide range of use cases. You will be working on tools and infrastructure challenges involving big data and large scale back-end web services, all with the goal of delivering seamless experience to the customer.
You should be comfortable diving deep into technical architectures and requirements, be able to quickly identify solutions to challenges discovered during development, and ready to work with some of the latest cloud computing technology. Prior experience building stable, scale-able, solutions is required. Prior experience with data mining, databases, or massively parallel systems is a plus.
-Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
-1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
-2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
-Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
-3+ years professional experience in software development
- Knowledge of design patterns, algorithms, programming paradigms, and front-end development best practices
-Advanced knowledge of web technologies and UI/UX standards
-Experience in developing front-end software, with deep experience in one or more relevant front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Thyme Leaf, JQuery etc.), UI Test Automation frameworks, and MVC frameworks
-Experience with view layout and rendering technologies (e.g., responsiveness, progressive enhancement, browser/device support).
-Experience with a broad range of software design approaches and common UX patterns and Front-end software design patterns
-Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline
-Hands-on expertise in many disparate technologies, typically ranging from front-end user interfaces such as HTML5
-Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
-Proven ability to develop new ideas and creative solutions
-Proven ability to work successfully in an ambiguous environment
-Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload
-Customer focus - Ability to partner with stakeholders to convert ideas into technical solutions
-Ability to lead and operate via Amazon Leadership principles
-Ability to develop and drive the implementation of new solutions with members of the Startup team and other business functions across the network
