We own the largest content marketing system at Amazon powering content to hundreds of millions of Amazon customers through Amazon website, emails, and devices across shopping, streaming and reading experience. The system serves 50+ trillion requests, drives billions of revenue and millions of paid Prime members annually.

As a Software Development Engineer on the Content Platform team, you will work on impactful project and have direct ownership over the development of the next generation of content marketing system making break-through improvements for the platform's extensibility, scalability, availability and latency.

Our key objective in 2021 is to build and launch the new content marketing system utilizing the latest technologies as we re-architecture and consolidate two existing marketing systems into a unified one combining strengths of both. The system serves hundreds of billions of marketing content per day leveraging both rules based targeting and Machine Learning based optimization.

• Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
• 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience


• Strong, object-oriented design and coding skills (C/C++ and/or Java preferably on a UNIX or Linux platform)
• Deal well with ambiguous/undefined problems; ability to think abstractly
