The AWS Security Hub team is looking for passionate and innovative engineers to join this newly launched AWS security service. We need a strong candidate to help us build new features and functionality with a strong focus on security and operational excellence. We are a small team, but growing quickly with a big roadmap so there's plenty of work to get your teeth into.
The successful candidate is one who has experience working with large-scale, real-time systems using streaming analytics and search technologies. This position involves working on complex software systems in a customer-centric environment and being passionate not only about building good software but also ensuring that the same software achieves its goals in operational reality. There is no set technology and the team firmly believes in using the right tool for the job.
You don't need to have a security background to be successful on the AWS Security team. What you need is a desire to work on the bleeding edge, a desire to work on complex computer science problems, and the ability to simplify that complexity for our customers. Most importantly, you must have a strong backbone, be willing to fight for the privacy and protection of our customers, and be able to earn and maintain the trust of your coworkers.
Our team also puts a high value on work-life balance. Striking a healthy balance between your personal and professional life is crucial to your happiness and success here, which is why we aren't focused on how many hours you spend at work or online. Instead, we're happy to offer a flexible schedule so you can have a more productive and well-balanced lifeboth in and outside of work.
Our team is dedicated to supporting new members. We have a broad mix of experience levels and tenures, and we're building an environment that celebrates knowledge sharing and mentorship. Our senior members enjoy one-on-one mentoring and thorough, but kind, code reviews. We care about your career growth and strive to assign projects based on what will help each team member develop into a better-rounded engineer and enable them to take on more complex tasks in the future.
Here at AWS, we embrace our differences. We are committed to furthering our culture of inclusion. We have ten employee-led affinity groups, reaching 40,000 employees in over 190 chapters globally.
