Software Development Engineer - AWS Lambda

1 week agoSeattle, WA

AWS Lambda ( is changing how businesses of any size think about computing in the cloud. Lambda functions offer customers a "serverless" way to create applications. Developers build scalable, fault-tolerant production systems without thinking about infrastructure, capacity management, or large-scale deployments. Many of the hard problems of distributed systems development are abstracted away by Lambda's simple programming paradigm, so that our customers can focus on solving business problems.

Lambda Counting Service team owns key components that determines customer traffic usage against a variety of traffic limits. Counting Service serves to support traffic limits configured by the customers (for example, Per-Function Concurrency) as well as the front-line for mitigating impact for Lambda and Lambda customers in high traffic events (e.g. burst throttling, tps throttling). Lambda Counting Service is also part of the new Lambda Invoke Routing org effort to build and evolve our current system to support the growing scale and availability challenges in AWS Lambda. If you are passionate about large-scale distributed system, you will have opportunities to help Lambda's customers forget about their infrastructure.

As a member of the team, you will be responsible for designing, building and operating massively scalable services. You will have the opportunity to work with and learn from some of the most experienced engineers in AWS, as you solve deep, technical problems in one of the biggest and fastest growing distributed systems (

If this sounds appealing to you, then join us in making Lambda the most successful compute platform on the planet!
