Software Development Engineer - Aws Elasticsearch Service

AWS recently announced it will be leading an open-source fork of Elasticsearch and Kibana, in order to ensure open source versions of both packages remain available and well supported.

We're looking for individuals to join this effort. In this role you will be responsible for the design, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of highly scalable test automation systems, building of software tools used to perform build verification and regression tests, and driving quality-centric methodologies in the software development process.

Participation can take many forms. As a community-driven project, multiple companies and individuals will share responsibility for directing and contributing. AWS, as one of those contributors, is looking to hire a variety of full-time roles dedicated to developing, enhancing, and supporting these open source projects. Working in AWS Search Services
The Search Services team in AWS designs, develops and operates software that allows customers to index, search and analyze documents at scale in a secure, responsive, and reliable environment. The team is tackling tough data, search and analytics problems. • 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
• 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
4+ years of experience with public cloud infrastructure
Experience with Elasticsearch, React, Node, Apache Solr, or Apache Lucene
Have a focus on customer experience and satisfaction.
