DESCRIPTION

Are you passionate about improving the way developers build applications? Would you enjoy working on a service that is fundamental to the way people write code? We are AWS developer tools and we're what you're looking for. The AWS CodeCommit team is seeking an engineer who will help create the next generation of software tools for source code collaboration. The ideal candidate cares about making other developers' lives better, appreciates good development tools, and thrives in a collaborative environment.

We are looking for enthusiastic, creative, and opinionated developers who strive to make a positive change for other developers. Come join us and work on a fundamental aspect of the development system and enhance the experience of every developer who uses our platform. If you join our team, you will...

• Work with internal and external developers as your core customers.
• Iterate, test new ideas, and shape the future vision for developer tools that operate in the cloud.
• Learn and use core AWS technologies to design and then build available and scalable back-end web services and customer-facing APIs.
• Learn, master, and work with a variety of developer tools across the spectrum of the software development lifecycle.
• Work on challenging algorithms and business problems that find the balance between security, availability, and great user experience.
• Participate in no-meeting Wednesdays and monthly hack-a-thons to help dog-food our developer tools experiences.
Our team is dedicated to supporting new members. We have a broad mix of experience levels and tenures, and we're building an environment that celebrates knowledge sharing and mentorship. Our senior members enjoy one-on-one mentoring and thorough, but kind, code reviews. We care about your career growth and strive to assign projects based on what will help each team member develop into a better-rounded engineer and enable them to take on more complex tasks in the future.

Here at AWS, we embrace our differences. We are committed to furthering our culture of inclusion. We have ten employee-led affinity groups, reaching 40,000 employees in over 190 chapters globally. We have innovative benefit offerings, and host annual and ongoing learning experiences, including our Conversations on Race and Ethnicity (CORE) and AmazeCon (gender diversity) conferences.
