AWS Commerce Platform is seeking a talented software development engineer to design and build innovative cross-domain solutions. Countries and organizations around the world have varied and increasingly strict data protection needs. These requirements add complexity to operating our globally-distributed, massive-scale solution. We need your help designing and delivering game-changing solutions to facilitate changes to how we operate our platform.

Commerce Platform processes trillions of events per month from AWS services such as these to provide bill generation, payment processing, fraud prevention, customer usage, and analytics to both AWS customers and internal users. Because we sit at the nexus of all AWS services and interact directly with end-customers, we work closely with other AWS teams to ensure our customers are provided with a great experience

This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and must currently possess an active Top Secret security clearance. The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph and satisfy other security related requirements. In compliance with the U.S. government requirement that employees of its contractors, and employees who work on or in connection with U.S government contracts must receive the COVID-19 vaccine, this position may require that the candidate selected be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. A person is considered fully vaccinated by completing the full regimen of the COVID-19 vaccine (two doses for Pfizer or Moderna and one dose for Johnson & Johnson)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
  • 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or related Technical Degree
  • Experience building infrastructure, CDK, Cloudformation is a plus
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated ability to take a project or significant feature from concept to launch
  • Experience with large scale systems
  • Experience with data visualization
