DESCRIPTION

About us:
Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) leverages Amazon's global fulfillment and customer service network for third party sellers who want to grow their business on and off Amazon.com. FBA enables customers to take advantage of Free Super Saver Shipping and Amazon Prime on third party items, while allowing sellers to focus on selling rather than shipping.
The IVR (Inventory Visibility and Reporting) team is responsible for Amazon Fulfillment Report experience for the Sellers, and providing them visibility of their inventory quantities (inbound, fulfillable, reserved, unfulfillable and its further breakdown or aggregated view when required) through reports. The team also enables other Amazon teams to onboard their functions as reports on the Reports Platform, to help them serve sellers with their functions. These reports are surfaced through interactive online reports, downloadable reports and through APIs. Sellers rely on this information to run their day-to-day business. The team also acts as a medium and interface for propagating inventory quantity information to Supply Chain Optimization Technology (SCOT) systems by providing Advance Shipment Notifications (ASNs) and creating shadow purchase orders (POs) for every FBA carton Sellers' inbound into the Amazon warehouses. Downstream warehouse systems extensively use this data for many key use cases an error in the ASN system's inbound quantities can mess up inventory accounting network wide.
