The AWS IoT Greengrass team is recruiting Software Development Engineers to develop mission critical AWS Greengrass features to work locally and in conjunction with our backend cloud services. This is a new area that provides exciting challenges and new and diverse learning opportunities in an industry leading area.

This position involves on-call responsibilities, typically for one week every two months. We don't like getting paged in the middle of the night or on the weekend, so we work to ensure that our systems are fault tolerant. When we do get paged, we work together to resolve the root cause so that we don't get paged for the same issue twice.

• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
• 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline
• 8+ years of software development experience
• 5+ years of experience leading software development teams
• 2-4 years of industrial experience on software development.
• Experience building large-scale web services backed by AWS services.
• Experience with Authentication and Authorization technologies (TLS, SigV4, etc.)
• Experience in one or more specific IoT / M2M industry.
• Experiences contributing to open source projects.
