The Amazon Pay team is looking for Software Development Engineers (SDEs) to help drive the development of new features, functionality, and capabilities.

If you're an engineer who is looking to grow, come on board, we have 1 Principal Engineer and 4 SDE3s at the top end of a team of about 25 engineers - and they are all eager to mentor and grow you! And look up our ticket load; we passionately believe in keeping our Sev 2 load low, slowing down feature development if needed in order to address problems in our ever-growing fleet.

We have challenging problems to solve in payments domain including connected payments experiences across various devices, voice first and performance engineering. We intend to be the world's best and fastest payments, built by an excellent team, all while having fun.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, minimum of 6 years software development experience
• Alternatively (no degree) minimum of 8 years of professional software development experience
• Proficiency in design and analysis of algorithms and data structures
• Proficiency in designing systems and has understanding of micro-service level architecture

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficiency developing in at least one if the following programming languages: C, C++, Java, C# or Python
• Linux / UNIX system experience
• Knowledge of database system internals
• Proficiency in object-oriented design
• Hands-on experience with AWS APIs and services
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• B.Tech or equivalent degree in Computer Science
• Proficiency in understanding and implementation of design patterns
