AWS Containers and Serverless is hiring for 100% remote!

As a Software Engineer in the Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) team working on EKS Anywhere and EKS Distro you will help us deliver the mission of helping customers run containers successfully anywhere. At Amazon EKS, we are building a core set of functionality that will allow our customers to create and use Kubernetes at scale in their data centers or on AWS. You will be part of an exceptional team moving the needle towards making containers as the next generation compute platform everywhere. This is an opportunity engineer systems on a massive scale, and to gain top-notch experience in distributed systems and cloud computing.

You will be solving challenging technical problems, often ones not solved before, alongside with peers with remarkable technical expertise. This position involves on-call responsibilities, typically for one week every two months. We don't like getting paged in the middle of the night or on the weekend, so we work to ensure that our systems are fault tolerant. When we do get paged, we work together to resolve the root cause so that we don't get paged for the same issue twice.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Golang, Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design.
  • 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Interest in working with kubernetes and CNCF technologies

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $140,000 - 194,000; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per the Colorado Equal Pay Act. Base pay information is based on market location. Applicants should apply via Amazon's internal or external careers site.

The pay range for this position in Jersey City, NJ is $140,000 - 194,000 however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per the Pay Transparency Regulation of Jersey City Municipal Code. Base pay information is based on market location.
