  • 4+ years of professional software development experience
  • 3+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
  • 2+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems


  • Master's degree or PHD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline
  • Strong Computer Science and development fundamentals, including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis
  • Demonstrated proficiency in, at least, one modern programming language such as Java, Python, C++, C.
  • Experience serving as technical lead throughout the full software development life cycle, end-to-end, from scoping, planning, conception, design, implementation, and testing to documentation, delivery and maintenance.
  • Hands-on expertise in different technologies, typically ranging from front-end user interfaces through to back-end software systems.
  • Experience driving the architecture, engineering and software design of large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications, databases, tools, systems, and services using service-oriented architecture, object-oriented design and distributed programming.
  • Experience with machine learning, data mining, and/or statistical analysis tools and software such as Familiarity with professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing and operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor junior software engineers or software developers in all aspects of their engineering duties.
  • Experience and/or a strong interest in machine learning software systems and big data software systems.
