Social Pr Manager

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a highly organized Leader for Amazon's Social and Owned Channels in China. As a member of our Communications Team, the individual will lead our owned and social media strategy and campaign development including owned, earned and paid social media channels, supporting our businesses' awareness and perception. Working with corporate and consumer communications teams, the individual will build strong content with a distinct & credible Amazon voice and robust amplification plans to achieve measurable results.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of creating successful strategic social media campaigns with measurable results, both organic and paid, working closely with internal or external stakeholders. We are seeking a strategic and creative thinker with strong writing and video production skills who has a sharp understanding of building and leveraging reputation narratives on social media, including close collaboration with influencers and other opinion leaders. The successful candidate will be passionate, self-motivated, innovative and able to pivot when necessary in our fast-paced start-up culture.

This role will work closely with wider global organization to develop digital strategy, plans and campaigns to enhance Amazon's reputation in the country across internal and external stakeholders.

Key tasks will include:
• Closely collaborating with communications and business teams to develop and produce campaigns from within the organization as well as providing direction to and managing external writers, video content contributors and production partners
• Creating, writing, producing, commissioning, publishing and editing content across a range of mediums long-form editorial, video and static, social media
• Coming up with content ideas that are relevant for Amazon and interesting for customers
• Working with global content leads to help define global measurement and ROI for content and support in evolving our content brand guidelines
• Developing amplification strategy across earned, paid and owned media
• Evolving channel admin and reporting processes to ensure a slick and cohesive operation
• Utilizing industry and customer insight to inform strategies and remain an expert regarding on-going social trends and new platforms

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree and above
• 12+ years' work experience developing/implementing and evaluating brand PR strategies/editorial roles with a focus on social media platforms-strategy and execution.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

A mix of agency and in-house experience is preferred, including brand marketing, advertising, communications, and PR experience
• A proven track record of creating content with original ideas that offers something unique to the readers/viewers/customers
• Experience working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, demonstrating a genuine openness to feedback and change while resisting the negative effects of editing by committee
• Experience driving a multi-channel content/editorial strategy, while working with cross-functional teams and managing external partners with a demonstrated knowledge of what works for a brand across social media and own channels, including working successfully with influencers in both the organic and paid space
• Experience of using customer data/insights to inform campaign strategy and planning
• Experience of thinking, writing, communicating and producing with absolute clarity for a variety of audiences
• Experience in developing, managing and analyzing content amplification strategies
• Experience in managing agencies and budgets
• Highly organised - able to juggle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously while managing essential admin and reporting work
