The successful candidate has experience building strong relationships, driving significant top and bottom line results, and managing multiple responsibilities within a fast-paced environment. They will work with strategic vendors/brands in Canada Retail categories and must have the leadership presence and communication skills to represent Amazon at all levels of the organization. The candidate must also possess strong analytical skills and be comfortable drawing metrics-based conclusions by leveraging and interpreting data while working with cross-functional teams across strategic, marketing, and operational business issues. The right candidate stays on top of industry and competitive trends, and is able to execute at both a strategic and tactical level to drive sales and margin growth, while ensuring a best-in-class customer experience.

Responsibilities include:
• Defining strategies to deliver a best-in-class customer experience while delivering profitable growth in the retail category
• Passionately advocating for the customer and category within Amazon
• Managing full financial P&L for their categories
• Managing the key business inputs of selection, price and promotion to achieve our sales and margin targets
• Developing and leading the strategy for vendor negotiations
• Leading weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual business reviews
• Collaborating cross-functionally on necessary systems and process improvements
• Partnering with Merchandising on promotions and marketing activities
• Working with operational teams and systems to ensure healthy inventory levels
• Be an ambassador within the industry and continuously enhance Amazon's position.


• Bachelor's degree
• 5-7 years of relevant experience in retail, operations, and/or business management/consulting with a proven track record of delivering results
• 2+ years negotiation experience
• 3-4 years of experience using Excel
• 3-5 years managing multiple projects prioritization, planning and task delegation.


• MBA preferred
• Online retail experience
• Understanding of retail metrics including financials
• Understanding and experience with building category plans and variance +/- vs. plan
• Excellent business judgment with strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Superior analytical abilities and quantitative skills. Comfortable with complex financial data.
• Proven negotiating skills, influencing abilities and vendor management
• High threshold for working in an ambiguous, fast paced environment start-up like environment figuring it out and adapting as you go
• Comfortable with "hands-on" management of tasks, and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
• Proficiency with SQL
• Interest in fashion
