Prime Video is seeking a business-oriented Senior Technical Program Manager to lead and coordinate design/implementation efforts between business and tech teams to develop optimal solutions for a new program which offers a suite of self-service products for 3P content providers. The ideal candidate will thrive in a quickly evolving industry landscape and will be able to work cross-functionally to take big ideas and implement realistic roadmaps to deliver results. You will be expected to make appropriate trade-offs to optimize time-to-market, clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to internal cross-functional and remote project teams. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. This means you are not only able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in and get the job done. As a Sr. TPM, you will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints. An ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, then deliver them in a timely manner.

As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to design, manage, and deliver innovative consumer products, technologies, and tools. In this role, you will:
• Work with key stakeholders in product management and executive teams to define strategy and requirements
• Lead cross functional development on new technology from design through delivery
• Work with remote teams to deliver supporting software and services in sync with launch timelines and communicate regularly with senior management on status, risks and change control
• Work with subject matter experts to lead and drive new technology initiatives and evaluations for next generation Amazon products and features
• Develop and champion processes for efficiency and scale in the Prime Video engineering organization

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• System design experience
• 5+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams
• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
• Experience driving roadmap strategy and definition
• 5+ years of technical program management experience
• Experience managing large projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules, including cross-functional dependency management
• 7+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams
• 5+ years of technical program management experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• A strong track record of delivery of large, cross-functional initiatives
• Experience defining projects, collecting requirements, writing detailed functional and test specifications, coordinating efforts to scope, schedule and deploy new feature sets
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences
• Cross-team coordination and executive presentation skills
• Able to independently influence and resolve conflicts with others
• Meets/exceeds Amazon's leadership principles requirements for this role
• Meets/exceeds Amazon's functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
