IoT refers to a system of physical devices, sensors, actuators, cameras, light bulbs and all "Things" that have computing capability and connect to the Internet. Application domain for IoT is very broad. It includes but not limited to industrial automation, smart homes, self-driving cars and consumer products.

The Team:
Amazon's Internet of Things (AWS IoT) platform enables customers to easily connect devices to the AWS IoT message broker using industry standard lightweight protocols and ensuring maximum security while providing a full managed platform as a service. Companies from all over the world can build their smart features and apps without having to worry about building a scalable infrastructure that grows with their millions of customers and devices because we do it for them. From simple sensors and actuators that barely have enough memory to run an OS to full-blown industrial gateways, they all can benefit from AWS IoT to receive, store and process data to implement an ever growing set of features.

The IoT Device Ecosystem team delivers software tools, applications and solutions that enable our partners and customers to develop, validate and qualify their IoT products that connect to AWS IoT services. Our industry partners include top CPU/MCU manufacturers and global device OEMs.

As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will be part of the larger leadership community at AWS IoT. This community plays a critical role in the planning, tracking and delivery of innovative new solutions for our long-term technical and business strategy. You will be seen as the subject matter expert for your area of focus within AWS IoT Device Software and Services organization. You will manage and be responsible for delivering strategic technical projects, and have a significant impact on customer and partner experience, on our business and competitive position.

In this role, you will draw upon technical architecture, deployment and project management skills, critical thinking, problem-solving, and a passion for building large-scale software systems. You should be self-directed and open to new challenges, able to deal with ambiguity, adept at prioritization, innovation, and getting along with others. You will drive the exploration of complex technical needs, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional business and software development teams to solve problems and implement new solutions. You will interact with a broad cross-section of the Amazon organization, spanning a wide range of technologies, and engaging with external partners and internal teams.

You will:
• Work closely with business stakeholders including product managers, other program managers, technical teams, executives, partners and customers. Coordinate activities across multiple teams.
• Manage medium to large projects Plan and execute technical development in an Agile software development environment. Track dependencies, report progress.
• Lead Operations Including monitoring and response to customer feedback, continuous improvement and business growth.
• Perform Participate in the design and implementation of novel technical solutions. Ensure timely delivery and highest quality software implementation that is aligned with product goals and requirements.
• Influence senior leaders across Amazon and communicate the the team's vision, strategy, goals, status, and customer impact.
• Write Technical Documents targeting audiences from technical teams to executives, partners and customers, program status reports to stake holders including executives.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or another STEM field
• 5+ years of Technical Program Management experience in a related industry, 2+ years' experience working with Agile development process.


• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills; experience in data collection, model building, testing and validation.
• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle.
• Hands-on coding experience in programming languages such as Java, C, C++, Go or similar.
• Experience in AWS technologies and services.
• Experience in IoT and related technologies
• Experience working with customers, technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs
• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and project management skills
