EC2 is looking for a highly motivated Software Development Engineers for its EC2 Fleet offering. You will be part of a team of immensely talented and passionate engineers that build and operate one of the fastest growing services in AWS. This is a highly visible opportunity to solve technically complex business problems and to empower customers to get the most of EC2. You will own delivery of scalable services and features that disruptively enhance elastic compute experience for our customers. Your work will directly influence EC2's long-term business and technical strategy. • 4+ years of professional software development experience
• 3+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
• 2+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
• Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
