As a senior software developer in AWS AI, you will be part of the larger technical leadership community that forms the backbone of the company, plays a critical role in the broad business planning, works closely with senior executives, influences our long-term technical and business strategy, helps us hire talented team of engineers and ultimately enables us to deliver innovative new solutions rapidly.
This position within the Machine Learning team presents a unique and rare opportunity to get in on the ground floor within a fast-growing business and help shape the technology, product and the business. • 4+ years of professional software development experience
• 3+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
• 2+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems


Basic qualifications
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• 5+ years of software development experience in machine learning, big data analysis or related areas
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language, e.g. C/C++/Java
• Proficiency in Python

Preferred qualifications
• Masters or PhD in Computer Science
• 3+ years technical leadership role in machine learning, or related areas
• Experience with building cloud services
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals in algorithm design, data structures, problem solving, and complexity analysis
• Demonstrated track record of project delivery for large, cross-functional projects with evolving requirements and aggressive timelines
• Candidates with strong interests and academic qualifications / research focus in AI/ML are also encouraged to apply.
