DESCRIPTION

Amazon Web Services is looking for Software Development Engineers to join our growing Amazon Elastic Container Services for Kubernetes (EKS) team. Amazon EKS is our managed Kubernetes service that makes it easy for customers to use Kubernetes without needing to become experts in provisioning and operating Kubernetes. EKS manages time-consuming administrative tasks like setting up, operating, scaling and updating Kubernetes freeing customers up to focus on their applications.

You will be part of an exceptional team moving the needle towards making containers as the next generation compute platform. This is an opportunity to operate and engineer systems on a massive scale, and to gain top-notch experience in cloud computing.

This position involves on-call responsibilities, typically for one week every two months. We don't like getting paged in the middle of the night or on the weekend, so we work to ensure that our systems are fault tolerant. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
  • 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Interest in working with kubernetes and CNCF technologies
