DESCRIPTION
We are the Development Environment team, part of the Builder Tools organization. Builder Tools develops products that enable Amazon's internal builder population (tens of thousands of SW developers, data scientists, ML Engineers, etc) to efficiently develop robust, high quality software and then safely, securely, and reliably deploy it to customers worldwide. We free engineering teams across the company from spending time on internal development tools so they can focus on delighting their customers. The Development Environment team's mission is to make builders immediately and sustainably productive by having the tools and compute environments they need while doing local and individual-level development.
We are looking for a Senior Engineer to lead a team of engineers, innovate on behalf of, and have an impact in the joy and productivity of all Amazon developers. You will work on distributed systems that have a high availability requirement to ensure our systems are up when Amazon internal developers most need it. You will get to collaborate with leaders within Builder Tools and across-Amazon to understand user needs, assess the state of technology and related AWS services, shape product and technology strategy, design and implement solutions, mentor and/or coach other engineers.
