Amazon.com's Advertising Platform team is looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead the design and development of the Company's Self-Service Advertising Products. Self-Service Advertising is an exciting new channel for Amazon's Advertising Platform and offers the opportunity to give voice to sellers big and small – in effect, Self-Service Advertising could disrupt and level the advertising playing field. If you join this team, your work will be directly used every day to give voice to advertisers and enable customers to discover an infinitely expanding catalog of products across multiple devices.

Your responsibilities will be

  • Develop product vision, strategy, business plans, and metrics for our big data and analytics platforms and technologies
  • · Define business and technical product requirements
  • · Work cross-functionally to manage bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, balance the business needs versus technical constraints, and maximize business benefit while building great customer experiences.
  • · Collaborate closely with stakeholders throughout Amazon to obtain buy-in for product initiatives and to set expectations
  • · Measure and analyze existing products for opportunities to innovate and improve, providing additional benefits to customers
  • · Work with marketing, account development and sales to execute the go to market strategy
  • · Leverage consumer insights or competitive intelligence reports to help explain online behavioral trends and inform product decisions

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years in product management or 3+ years in senior management focused on business delivery and outcome is required
  • · Bachelor's degree in Math, Finance, Statistics, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • · Experience in bringing technology products to market in a fast-paced environment.
  • · Excellent quantitative skills. Strong SQL and Excel expertise to access and transform data into insights.
  • · Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or Masters degree in an analytical field is desired.

  • · Experience in CPC products or Paid Search
  • · Knowledge and direct experience using BI reporting tools. (Tableau, OBIEE, Business Objects, Cognos, MicroStrategy, etc.)
  • · Experience with statistical modeling, data mining and machine learning (R, Python, SAS, etc.)
  • Familiarity with new advances in the data engineering space such as EMR and NoSQL technologies like Dynamo DB
