The Amazon AWS Partner Solutions Architecture team is looking for an experienced and motivated technologist with a passion for creating strategies, best practices and solving complex business challenges focusing on the life sciences industry.
You will get the opportunity to work with a wide array of partners, from well-established tech giants to innovative startups that were born in the cloud. You will work with our customers and partners to ensure they build scalable, secure, and high performance solutions on. The ideal candidate will possess technical and business acumen that enables them to engage at all levels of an organization; as well as the ability to dive deep and build cloud-optimized architectures.
You will be as comfortable white boarding software architectures with a room full of engineers, as briefing an executive audience. You will author whitepapers and reference architectures that will be leveraged by the global Solution Architect (SA) community within. You will deliver technical webinars, speak at public events, and file patents for what could potentially be a future product or feature.
You should demonstrate the ability to think strategically and long-term about the needs of the life sciences industry, and hands-on technical experience building scalable, secure and compliant solutions. You must have customer facing communication skills, be conversant on technical matters, and be able to work with customers at any level, from Executive to Developer. Previous experience with AWS is desired but not required. The ability to learn new technologies, a humble and collaborative attitude, and domain experience in healthcare and life sciences are essential.
This position can be based anywhere in the US where AWS has a significant presence. Boston, Seattle, Chicago, San Francisco, Houston, and New York City are preferred.

• BA/BS degree: computer science, mathematics, engineering
• 4+ years' experience implementing line-of-business solutions life sciences pharma data including: pre-clinical, clinical, commercial, manufacturing, supply chain.
• 7+ years of hands-on technical experience
• An advanced degree in science, engineering, or mathematics is desirable
• Enterprise customer-facing experience
• Experience with AWS services including AWS Certification
• Experience with medical imaging solutions, electronic medical records, real-world evidence platforms, and healthcare interoperability is desirable
• Experience in big data analytics, machine learning, IoT and cloud technologies is desirable
• Enterprise solution selling experience
• A reasonable understanding of the technology stack, and ability to discern when to use different options and frameworks
• Experience working with or for life sciences enterprises.
• Ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges
• Experience working within regulations such as HIPAA or GxP

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $122,300 - $160,000;annually however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
