Senior Manager System Engineering
Are you interested in leading a team that has massive impact on customer happiness as well as the productivity of Amazon's Fulfillment Center and logistics employees? The Operations Technology Infrastructure Engineering Foundational Services team (OTIE-FS) is responsible for providing the systems and technology that power the core infrastructure systems used in our Fulfillment Centers, Sort Centers, Delivery Stations, Prime Now and Campus locations globally. The systems the team builds are used by hundreds of thousands of Amazonians, hundreds of thousands of IP enabled devices, a growing fleet of robots, and countless other user devices in our facilities around the world.
We are looking for a Senior Manager to lead the Foundational Services Engineering team. Amazon leaders are technical, and in this role you will facilitate architectural discussions and communicate the business value of new designs. You will be adept in your ability to inspire your team to build systems that are tuned to Amazon's fulfillment and transportation businesses. You will be focused on building a culture of innovation, customer obsession, long term thinking and scalability.

Up to 10% domestic and international travel is required
- A Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years' experience in an engineering role
- 5+ years leading managers/leaders
- Experience building and directly managing a team of senior level technical people
- A Master's Degree in Computer Science or technical field
- Experience with information security best practices
- Experience with AWS technologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to deliver complex projects, including autonomous resolution of blocking issues
