We are seeking a Senior Finance Manager on the AWS Infrastructure Finance team to support Internal Amazon teams in Retail and Devices organization with a focus on Infrastructure capacity planning and related capital expenditure.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Finance leaders in managing Infrastructure capex
  • Partner with leaders across engineering, supply chain and fleet management to oversee server, network and datacenter capacity planning to drive efficient use of AWS services by Amazon users
  • Represent Finance in business S&OP
  • Develop, report on, and analyze key metrics that drive actionable goals to ensure we are running a lean business while exceeding customer expectations
  • Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reviews
  • Develop and implement financial processes that drive clarity on ownership and results in improved controllership mechanisms.
  • Perform analysis for technology transitions and product launches
  • Direct and lead a high performance team

The successful candidate will implement and drive the core financial processes including Annual Operating Plans, Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews, identify and quantify financial/operational Risks and Opportunities (R&O) to the business, and drive ad-hoc business projects.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience with progressively increasing levels of responsibility
  • 5+ years of people management experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA/CMA/MBA preferred
  • Familiarity with financial systems such as Cognos TM1 preferred
  • Experience working as business finance partner to provide strategic guidance and decision support in rapidly evolving environment
  • Executive presence and ability to drive outcomes while working with multiple teams
  • Experience working in a cross functional environment
  • Highly analytical and detail oriented
  • Proven ability to develop new ideas and creative solutions
  • Proven ability to work successfully in an ambiguous environment
  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Independent and entrepreneurial showing the ability to work with minimal direction in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
