Senior Account Executive, United States Cyber Command

World Wide Public Sector team is looking for an exceptional Account Executive candidate to join our fast growing National Security Sales Team to support sensitive and critical US Intelligence Community (USIC) cloud technologies and activities.
In the role of Account Executive for US Cyber Command you will spend the majority of your time driving initiatives with the account teams, the program management office and customers. This role will be responsible being an advocate for the customer as they continue their cloud journey.
The role requires someone that is comfortable working across a highly matrixed environment to solve complex business problems. Ability to understand customer requirements and how they translate into cloud technology is required. Demonstrated past performance leading and growing national security programs is essential. Experience working with senior USIC customers and communications skills are also a requirement. You should bring an established understanding of these respective community infrastructures, policies, and operational performance requirements.
The role requires the successful candidate to bring experience, have good judgment, possess established negotiation skills, and have an ability to influence, earn trust, and deliver successful outcomes working at the executive government staff officer level.
This position is based in the Herndon, VA/Washington Metro Area (WMA) or our Fulton MD location
Core Responsibilities:
• Meet regularly with Amazon business leaders (such as customer account teams, hardware and software engineering leaders, and technical program managers).
• Meet regularly with national security executives and mission owners to understand customer requirements for Professional Services initiatives.
• Gather information required to provide Amazon leadership with recommendations on the best path forward, updated status and next steps to get to success.
• Solicit performance feedback, identify and eliminate blockers, identify and coordinate AWS resources needed to move initiatives forward.
• Meet regularly with enterprise account managers to provide status, plan and manage transfer of new opportunities from prospect to workload in progress.
• Participate in and support enterprise account manager customer engagements focused on moving from first-call to active project/program moving to AWS.

This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 7 or more years managing and/or pursuing information technology programs under the National Industrial Security Program, and/or with the US Intelligence Community.
• Performed work in an individual contributor role responsible for personally developing capture plans, competitive business intelligence reports, project schedules, price-to-win models, and pursue/no-pursue recommendations.
• 7 or more years experience pursuing services opportunities in compliance with U.S. federal acquisition rules.
• 7 or more years experience leading as the primary speaker customer facing and company internal meetings and presentations.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance at the TS/SCI level with Polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree and/or Computer Science or Math background highly desired; working knowledge of software development practices and technologies highly desired.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Demonstrable history of successfully growing (by $1M or more) existing Government programs.
• Demonstrable knowledge of intelligence community procurement and contracting processes.
• Demonstrable record of being detail-oriented with past examples showing ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects.
• Demonstrable Strong customer focus, ownership, urgency and drive.
• Demonstrable ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals.
• Demonstrable ability to present technical and programmatic briefings to senior Government officials.
• 10 or more years of team leadership experience in the Federal Government or a technology company working with the Federal Government - including hiring and developing a team.
• Experience working within the software development and cloud computing industry is highly desired.
• Bachelor's degree and/or Computer Science or Math background highly desired; working knowledge of software development practices and technologies highly desired.
• Meets/exceeds Amazon's leadership principles requirements for this role
• Meets/exceeds Amazon's functional/technical depth and complexity
