Our team owns the services that powers voice communication on Amazon Connect, a highly disruptive cloud-based contact center that enables businesses to deliver engaging, dynamic, and personal customer service experiences. With Amazon Connect, you can create your own cloud-based contact center and be taking calls in minutes, this differentiation has already helped many customers through challenging situations in 2020, such as government agencies launching COVID phone information lines, or unemployment phone line. We are working to build the next generation communication services that provides even more flexibility, scalability, and customer insights to AWS customers.

Amazon Connect leverages the power of Artificial Intelligence and the large ecosystem of AWS services such as Amazon Lex, Amazon Polly, AWS Lambda, Amazon S3 and Amazon Kinesis to provide a truly frustration free, easy-to-use, extensible, and natural customer experience. With this technology, we are transforming an industry and the way customers interact with businesses and how agents service them.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
• 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
• Master's degree in computer science or related technical discipline, or Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical discipline with 1+ years of professional software development experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's degree in computer science or related field, or Bachelor's degree in computer plus 5 years of experience.
• Experience taking a leading role in building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Hands-on expertise in many disparate technologies, typically ranging from front-end user interfaces through to back-end systems and all points in between
• Experience in driving systemic operational improvements
• Experience mentoring junior software engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
• Experience influencing software engineers best practices within your team
• Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
