Sales Team Leader, Amazon Marketplace


We are looking for an experienced Sales Team Leader to drive and develop a Seller recruitment and development team that supports the fast growth of our 3rd party (3P) marketplace in the US. The Marketplace or "Selling on Amazon" business exceeds 40% of the total sales and growing. Each year, tens of thousands of businesses join the marketplace adding millions of new products. Amazon also sells a suite of other services to e-commerce companies such as Amazon Payments, e-commerce Web Hosting, and Product Advertising. Together with the Marketplace these services create a compelling offering for Sellers.

The successful candidate will manage a team responsible for developing and managing a strong sales pipeline, recruiting Sellers to the Amazon marketplace. The Sales Manager is expected to hire and develop the best team members and will be responsible for managing the day-to-day as well as setting overall business direction, working cross-functionally with category, product, marketing, and sales operations teams to define high value offers that the team will recruit via eligible Sellers, sharpen the recruiting strategy and influence product roadmap, lead generation, and reporting activities.

Basic Qualifications

The key objectives for this role include:

  • 7+ years of successful enterprise class sales and management experience, preferably for a brand (or multiple brand) in the Fashion eCommerce industry
  • 4+ years of experience managing teams with a proven ability to hire and develop the best
  • Demonstrated success in exceeding sales targets using a consultative, solutions-focused approach is required
  • Experience selling nascent products/services into new markets is strongly desired
  • Candidates must have superior written communication and presentation skills, as well as an ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment
  • Ability to dive deep and analyze team performance showing impactful results with data
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
