We are looking for a motivated, organized individual to join our team as Research & Development Technician in our Carrollton, TX location.

Position Overview

We are seeking a technician to join a dynamic team focused on advanced Print Applications and Prototyping in an R&D environment for quick turn production. The candidate must have experience in Machine Operation, Print Application Processes and Technical Writing, with a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment. They will support print and production process testing efforts with a broad range of activities from machine setup and calibration, process engineering, product testing and evaluation, and total process documentation. The role requires regular interaction with Production and Management personnel, as well as equipment manufacturers and vendors.

Job Responsibilities

  • Identification and deployment of advanced print technologies
  • Testing of new products & equipment
  • Partner with Operations & Leadership to develop better more robust processes
  • Work with equipment and product manufacturers to ensure the best quality product
  • Thorough Documentation of all findings

Basic Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • BA/BS required or 2+ years of Amazon/Amazon Subsidiary work experience
  • Print Application experience on a variety of substrates
  • Demonstrated ability to work and thrive in a multi-project, multi-deadline environment
  • Working knowledge of computers, their interfaces, and Microsoft office
  • Working knowledge of workshop safety, hand tools, and industrial machinery
  • Demonstrated analytical, written, and oral communications skills
  • Self-motivated to learn new technologies
  • Ability to follow directions, work independently, and drive tasks to completion

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical degree in engineering technology, manufacturing or related field
  • Working knowledge of Color Management and RIP software
  • Manufacturing experience in a high technology environment
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator
  • Working knowledge of both Mac and PC computer platforms
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality control
  • Aptitude to quickly learn new systems and software
