TRMS Operations Analytics team is looking for a strong software development engineer to drive the development of products that power insights about its TRMS operations. We help uncover the hidden risks and trends, reduce investigation errors and bad debt, improve customer experience and predict & recommend the optimizations for future state of TRMS operations. This also means building highly sophisticated, data-centric systems that can detect abusive patterns across millions of transactions. The successful candidate will have experience driving projects independently from concept to prototype and finally implementation. This position is on a brand new team and you will play key role in shaping the technology direction of the products owned by this group. As a Programmer Analyst, you will help tackle a variety of technical challenges. Given that this is an early-stage initiative, you will play an active role in translating business and functional requirements into concrete deliverables and build quick prototypes or proofs of concept in partnership with other engineers within the team. You'll have the opportunity to work with multiple technical teams at Amazon in different locations.
- 3+ years overall development/technical support experience.
- Strong object oriented development knowledge in C++ and/or Java.
- Knowledge of the UNIX/Linux operating system.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and identify the root cause of issues.
- Demonstrates skill and passion for operational excellence.
- Documentation skills
§ Knowledge in relational databases and distributed computing technologies.
§ Experience with Linux
§ Debugging and troubleshooting skills, with an enthusiastic attitude to support and resolve customer problems
