Principal Technical Program Manager - Amazon Retail-Wide Initiatives, Amazon Compute Technologies

4 days agoSeattle, WA

Amazon Compute Technologies (ACT) builds innovative managed compute and networking solutions that empower Amazon Software Engineers to build and operate services for Amazon's customers that are secure, highly available, and easy to scale. We identify and support the foundational infrastructure capabilities, tools, and datasets needed to support rapid global expansion of Amazon's SOA infrastructure, built on top of AWS technologies. Our team focuses on robust and scalable architecture patterns and engineering best practices, driving adoption of ever-evolving and cutting-edge AWS technologies.

As a Principal Technical Program Manager (TPM), you will represent our Amazon Retail-Wide division, responsible for leading a global expansion engineering program which will enable Amazon businesses to leverage new AWS regions and improve the efficiency and scale of our business. The end-state architecture will enable services to break region coupling while retaining the ability to keep critical business functions within a region. This architecture will improve customer latency through local affinity to compute resources and reduce the blast radius in case of region failures.

We are looking for a passionate, deeply technical, and results-oriented Technical Program Manager (TPM) to define and deliver innovative solutions, and drive fundamental architectural changes across the whole Amazon software stack. You will have a proven track record of planning and delivering complex programs with multi-year roadmap, using Agile and incremental delivery methods. You will have experience working on complex software systems in a customer-centric environment, cross-group teams spread across multiple geographies and handled communication from technical developers to senior VPs.

Come join a creative team dedicated to solve complex problems.

Given the size and impact of ACT's customer base, we understand the importance of making our development tools "just work". We make it easy to build high quality, reliable systems build and maintain Amazon Customer trust, that support Amazon's evolving architectural needs. Come help us create and evolve the abstractions that make developing software at Amazon even more powerful and flexible!
