Appstore team enables the customer and developer flywheel on devices by enabling developers to seamlessly launch and manage their apps/ in-app content on Amazon. It helps customers discover, buy and engage with these apps on Fire TV, Fire Tablets and mobile devices. The technologies we build on vary from device software, to high scale services, to efficient tools for developers.

Brief on Work:
As a Pr. TPM, you will be responsible for company-wide programs that innovate and build on the future of Appstore.

You will lead and run programs that span multiple global cross-functional teams and devices organizations with constant engagement with senior leaderships. You will be accountable for driving the entire product lifecycle, from platform product definition through specification, coding, quality assurance and launch to the world.

As a leader, you play crucial role in bringing the program management best practices across all of your programs and teams to ensure that the software we build and the technical processes that we implement are quantifiable with respect to quality and always deliver the best for our customers.

The right candidate will possess a strong program management background, will have demonstrated experience leading medium to large projects, and will have a well-rounded technical background in a number of infrastructure technologies, web services architecture and security. This is a hyper-growth environment where priorities shift quickly. You should be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. This means you are not only able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in and get the job done. As a TPM, you will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent and leadership are essential to success in this role.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 10+ years of relevant engineering experience
• 8+ years of Technical Program Management experience in a related industry
• Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedule
• Demonstrated experience of effective communication with senior leadership

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's or advanced technical degree
• Knowledge of software development process and lifecycle
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience in delivering large, multi-stage programs across many tech and non-tech teams
• Strong problem solving and negotiation skills to earn trust and influence partners and teams, and demonstrate success in shipping of software products on time.
