The EC2 Enterprise team at AWS is on a mission to help enterprise customers transform their technology portfolio by refactoring traditional applications using modern development methods, architectures, and tooling. We are responsible for building technology that enables customers to more easily refactor monolithic applications using micro-services and cloud-native architectures with containers, serverless, and open-source technologies. We are looking for a seasoned product manager to lead the product portfolio for a complex but very promising area of application modernization.
As the lead product manager for application modernization, you will have the opportunity to define and set the technology direction and launch new products to support modernization at massive scale. You will work closely with the cross-functional global enterprise teams, including Business Development, Solutions Architecture, Professional Services, Training, Sales Enablement, Sales Operations, Marketing, and Sales teams. You will be comfortable with leading and influencing cross functional teams, as most of your responsibilities will have interdependencies with other teams within AWS such as ECS, EKS, and Lambda.
To be successful in this role, you must be well-versed with the needs of enterprise software developers and IT teams, and have deep enterprise IT domain expertise and appreciate how AWS can help enterprises transform their IT and business. You will need strong analytical skills, synthesis, structuring, and problem-solving skills to translate ambiguous, and often incomplete, information into product plans. You will need a strong bias for 'think big' and 'invent and simplify'.
Our team also puts a high value on work-life balance. Striking a healthy balance between your personal and professional life is crucial to your happiness and success here, which is why we aren't focused on how many hours you spend at work or online. Instead, we're happy to offer a flexible schedule so you can have a more productive and well-balanced lifeboth in and outside of work.
Our team is dedicated to supporting new members. We have a broad mix of experience levels and tenures, and we're building an environment that celebrates knowledge sharing and mentorship. Our senior members enjoy one-on-one mentoring and thorough, but kind, code reviews. We care about your career growth and strive to assign projects based on what will help each team member develop into a better-rounded engineer and enable them to take on more complex tasks in the future.
