Principal Product Manager, Technical

Amazon Web Services (AWS) provides virtual infrastructure, storage, networking, messaging, and other services to customers all over the world at massive levels of scale. Businesses, from start-ups to enterprises, run their operations and applications on AWS. In doing so, customers also utilize services and tools that help them manage their security and compliance posture. AWS Audit Manager is a recently launched AWS service that helps customers continuously audit their AWS usage to simplify how they assess risk and compliance with regulations and industry standards. Audit Manager automates evidence collection to make it easier to assess whether their policies, procedures, and activities are operating effectively.

The Audit Manager team is seeking a Principal Product Manager Technical (PMT - ES) to help us build out the service roadmap, including new analytics and insights features that augment the automated evidence collection, and transform our customers' ability to understand and manage risk. In this role, you will be responsible for driving strategy and engaging with both internal teams like sales, operations, and engineering, as well as external stakeholders and industry partners to scope and build new pillars for the service

Audit Manager focuses on a business user persona (the audit professional), and is a business application. This role, therefore, requires a keen understanding of the business user, insatiable inquisitiveness for customer experience, good judgment about organizational context that drives adoption, and ability to connect this perspective with cutting-edge technology solutions to address customer problems. You will be a strategic leader for the org and the customer, working closely with technology, UX design, data science, program management, legal, and finance teams in defining and managing product roadmaps in areas of high complexity.

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in business or technology
• 10+ years of relevant product management experience, preferably in the technology sector
• Proven success in delivering technology products or managing technology programs in high growth environment
• Demonstrated experience as a strong leader who has proven ability to guide cross-functional teams through influence versus direct management
• Experience making data-driven decisions, having deep knowledge of statistical analysis, Excel, SQL, and/or other analytical techniques.
• Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product.

Preferred Qualifications
• MBA or Master's degree in related field
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience engaging and influencing cross-functional stakeholders and senior executives.
• Ability to think strategically while staying on top of tactical execution, manage tradeoffs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas.
• Superior analytical and quantitative skills; experience using data and metrics test theories, confirm assumptions, and measure success.
• Strengths in problem solving, issue-resolution, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
• Strong sense of ownership, urgency, drive, independence, and flexibility
• Highly adaptable and enjoy the intellectual challenge of diving deep into projects spanning sales, operations, and technical domains.
