Our M&E Industry Specialist (IS) Consultants are focused on envisioning and delivering customer outcomes across complex media workloads for our M&E clients using AWS cloud services. They provide cloud solution guidance, support POC's (Proof-of-Concepts), lead assessments and discovery projects, develop thought leadership, and represent AWS at leadership events and summits.

We are actively looking for a Principal level strategy advisor with significant experience in the media & entertainment business to help guide our customers and our project teams with development of strategic and financial guidance for their strategic cloud transformation initiatives.
The candidate should have directly supported M&E customers (either in an internal capacity or as an external consultant) with strategic and financial guidance to support their core business initiatives. They would have strong understanding of the operating and financial structure of the various functions within an M&E company including but not limited to content production, content acquisition and licensing, rights management, content profitability analysis, broadcast TV operations, direct-to-consumer streaming, linear and digital advertising, enterprise IT, and customer relationship management. They must have the capability to liaison with C-suite business executives and develop the strategic and financial analysis to guide their transformation goals.
The position requires a blend of four (4) major skills which are a strong business modeling and financial analysis, M&E operational experience, strategic vision, and an innovative/builder mindset.

AWS Principal Consultants:
-Develop business case justifications to customers looking for solutions to transform their existing media workloads using Cloud technology.
-Collaborate directly with global M&E customers to address their workflow performance, cloud workloads, security, compliance, scale, availability and manageability.

-Act as the voice-of-the-customer to oversee engagements and assist with non-technical change management work on policies, procedures, operations and people.
-Collect, package and publish best practices and repeatable offerings inclusive of AWS Partners to accelerate our customer's transition to cloud-based AWS services.
Responsibilities for this role include:
Develop Value Realization Frameworks for M&E Cloud Transformations - Lead the development of value realization frameworks for the major Cloud transformation use cases. These include Virtual Production, Media Supply Chain Transformations, Remote Live Production, Cloud Channel Playout, AI/ML applications, direct-to-consumer operations, Unified Advertising, Marketing and Customer Data Platforms, etc. Collaborate with AWS Cloud Economics team to incorporate M&E specific cloud economic analysis.
Support Sales - Support client projects and ProServe account teams by proving the value of AWS products, services, and support moving to new distributed cloud environments.
Services Strategies Develop new models for delivering outcome-based Professional Services to M&E customers by leveraging our industry showcases and solution accelerators.
Customer Engagements In collaboration with our go to market team, engage customers to envision end state solutions built on AWS and develop the strategy and economic analysis to support their end goals. The solutions stars with end state business and financial outcomes in mind, then working backwards with how AWS based technology enables those outcomes. Play an active role on all M&E transformation projects from Presales to Results to ensure that value to the customer is being measured and quantifiably delivered along the project journey. Secure approvals from customers to develop case studies around value impact of AWS Cloud transformations.
Industry Leadership- Lead AWS M&E value realization discussions, cloud operations optimization, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that can be used to measure and quantify results.
Develop Partnerships Drive collaboration with AWS' Strategy Consulting Partners to create joint go to market offerings.
Industry Expertise Transfer Work with global AWS professional services leadership to grow the AWS Professional Services (ProServe) Practice. Work with ProServe leadership to stay-ahead of the leading-edge platform services and be able to deploy quickly. Support best practices efforts for all AWS and Partners.
Customer Advocacy Act as the voice of the customer, advocating for the interests and priorities of the C-suite business and finance executives, and drive inputs into project strategies and project proposals.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 15 years of M&E experience in a strategic finance or business advisory capacity served at a major M&E global company or at a top tier strategy consulting firm
  • Experience in structuring financial analysis for M&E programs with cost-benefit modeling
  • Deep understanding of the value drivers for M&E companies (revenue growth, SVOD/AVOD models, cost optimization, IP harvesting, etc.)
  • Experience with Capex vs. Opex cost structures for M&E companies
  • Track record of supporting C-suite M&E executives with their strategic initiatives
  • Undergraduate in a technical/engineering area


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Direct experience with Cloud value economics modeling
  • MBA from a top-tier program
  • M&E Vertical industry sales and delivery experience using industry standard technologies as well as leading-edge technology services and solutions.
