Be at the forefront of extending voice-enabled enterprise customer experiences into new domains (business to business experiences). If you have a passion for growing new businesses and have a strong blend of business development skills, and strategy and you enjoy innovation and building relationships, you may be right for the Principal Business Development Manager role on the Alexa business team.

In this role, you will manage a set of customer categories within the Alexa business, and be responsible for defining and executing the business strategy across domains. In many cases, you may be establishing a new relationship between Amazon and the customer, which require strong sales and self-initiating skills, and the ability to engage C-level executives. Within this role, you will be expected to develop sales strategy, go to market plans and scale solutions and services. You will work closely with product and engineering teams to determine how to meet the needs of envisioned customer experiences. As an enterprise business within Amazon the role will require a high technical acumen and the ability to execute strategy across multiple partner teams.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop a scalable strategy to expand Alexa fleet managed services into key categories.
• Work across Amazon to define and execute go to market plans for Alexa, including retail, product, and supply chain teams.
• Be the voice of Alexa business with developers and other relevant channel stakeholders.
• Deliver persuasive, passionate, high impact, quality presentations to senior decision makers.
• Advocate internally for developer features and functionality that will help facilitate a world class Alexa-enabled customer experience.
• Create actionable steps to achieve big, ambiguous ideas.


• Bachelor's degree
• 10+ years of sales and digital business development experience
• Experience running an enterprise product through channel strategy
• Experience running an emerging technologies business


• Proven ability to prospect, recruit, and manage executive level relationships
• Strong presentation, sales, and negotiation skills; ability to close high value and high profile deals
• Experience working with emerging technologies, especially speech/voice
• Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, innovative, and rapidly evolving industry and business organization
• Comfort working with a broad range of technology tools including SharePoint, Excel, Access, Word, and
• Mobile, digital content, and apps domain experience a plus
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences at the C level
• Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills
• Demonstrated effectiveness working across multiple business units to achieve results
• Strong ownership and bias for action; ability to internalize goals and work independently to create appropriate action plans for those goals
• Strong analytical orientation; comfort using databases and analytical tools and making data-based decisions
• Strong problem-solving skills; ability to analyze issues and create appropriate tactical plans
• Meticulous attention to detail: ability to juggle many tasks in parallel without lowering your quality bar
• Demonstrated ability to champion and drive cross-functionally improvement initiatives
