Principal Business Development Manager - Supply Chain

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead and expand the business with one of our company's largest and most innovative customers in the Supply Chain industry - Amazon.com.
The Business Development Manager will be key member of the team responsible for working with the Account Team to drive industry focused solutions on behalf of our most strategic customers. You will build and maintain broad relationships in the account, develop and manage opportunities, and lead creation of industry solutions across a team of matrixed resources. You will build a strong working relationship with the AWS industry leadership and account teams in order to shape and deliver on go-to-market opportunities.
The Business Development Manager is responsible for teaming with all aspects of the customer's organization, which includes executives, engineering, business owners, legal, and others. Skills required to build relationships across an account include creative thinking, articulating a clear vision and generating enthusiasm, to impact all business groups. The Business Development Manager is responsible for solutioning at the most strategic level, working back with AWS industry-focused resources in order to develop customer solutions and drive case studies and learnings across a similar AWS customer base. The Business Development Manager works with all appropriate AWS resources (Industry Specialists, Solution Architects, Account Managers, Marketing, Partners, Support, Service teams and Professional Services) to support customer interests, and will understand how to strongly advocate for their customer and balance that with the business needs of AWS . This includes dotted line responsibility for downstream sales and technical resources that may be geographically distributed.
Development of industry specific case studies and related materials highlighting activity and workloads running on AWS is core to the role.

• 10+ years of enterprise tech selling or consulting experience in large global accounts
• Experience working with a large global organization as the lead account and relationship owner
• Experience with AWS and/or technology as a service (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS)
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, analytical and presentation skills are required
• A BA or BS degree in computer science, engineering, business, or related field experience (MBA preferred)
• Exposure to the Supply Chain industry
• Ability to navigate across AWS and the customer in a trusted advisor/consultative approach
• Experience with business case development and related financial modeling is desired
• Willingness to travel up to 25% in US and International
