Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) is looking for a dynamic and seasoned product leader to build the next wave of core EC2 features for customers ranging from startups to well-known enterprises. We are looking for an experienced product manager who could own product management across a range of current and future EC2 capabilities. The current core EC2 capabilities that the team owns include: 1/ innovations in compute platforms such as the AWS Nitro system and Firecracker that make it attractive for customers to run a broad range of workloads simpler than ever in the cloud, 2/ confidential computing capabilities such as AWS Nitro Enclaves that enable customers to securely process sensitive data, 3/ instance configuration features that make it simpler to operate conventional enterprise applications, modern containerized applications, as well as products from the AWS partner ecosystem on EC2, 4/ instance connectivity, troubleshooting and monitoring for running applications securely and reliably at scale, and 5/ the end-to-end developer experience available through the EC2 APIs and the web-based management console.
You will have strong ownership over feature prioritization, product definition, messaging, pricing, customer interaction, sales enablement, driving adoption and team development. While you will be expected to work on any of the current or new EC2 capabilities, in the foreseeable future, you will own instance connectivity, troubleshooting, health monitoring capabilities for making it simpler for customers to manage their EC2 instances at scale. • 7+ years of product management experience preferably with cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and/or Internet-scale applications.
• 7+ years of product management experience in delivering successful technical or cloud products
• 7+ years of experience in translating customer needs into features, product packaging, appropriate pricing models, positioning and delivering an unparalleled customer experience
• MBA and/or Masters in Computer Science/Engineering/Mathematics
• Technical breadth and depth including familiarity with software-defined networking, virtualization and public cloud
• Experience delivering high quality technology products/services in a scale up environment where priorities can shift rapidly
• Experience in driving a high level of focus and excellence with a strong, talented, opinionated team
• Experience driving a technical global product and team with end to end inbound and outbound product responsibilities
• Sound business judgment, proven ability to influence others, and strong analytical thinking skills
