Pricing Manager

Description

Amazon Publishing (APub) is a full-service publishing house, working closely with Amazon's Kindle and retail books teams to invent new and better ways to connect authors and readers. Our catalog includes international best-sellers and award-winning books from around the world.

APub is seeking a business analyst with strong marketing instincts, communication, and project management to lead our pricing strategy and execution. Success will be measured through increasingly efficient pricing processes, demand growth, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Leveraging data models to maximize both revenue growth and book discovery.
  • Developing pricing recommendations and present outcomes to senior leadership.
  • Working with technology teams to develop systems to support business needs.
  • Coordinating with global stakeholders from multiple teams to drive operational improvements and growth worldwide.
  • Own all day-to-day pricing functions including auditing and new product set up.

Basic Qualifications

  • BS or MS in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or in closely related field such as business.
  • 2+ years' work experience including business analysis.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects at once.
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results.
  • Expertise in SQL, Excel.

  • Interest in publishing/digital media.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Work experience related to pricing, preferably in a retail/ecommerce environment, is strongly desired.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects at once.
