The Workforce Staffing (WFS) Media Team is looking for a sharp, experienced, results-oriented Media Buyer to drive the planning, negotiation, management and execution of advertising campaigns. Our team plans and purchases local market advertising to promote Amazon as a preferred employer, and to influence the company's brand perception. WFS supports multiple business lines (Fulfillment Centers, Sort Centers, Delivery Stations, Prime Shopper, etc.) by creating targeted strategies that attract candidates to meet each location's specific labor needs.

Our media campaigns drive awareness of available employment opportunities to help fill the hiring funnel with qualified candidates. The Media Buyer will be responsible for purchasing both traditional and streaming media to reach the greatest number of potential candidates in multiple geographic locations.

This position may be based out of Seattle, WA or Nashville, TN. Relocation package available.

Responsibilities Include:

• Partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business needs and challenges
• Identifying the media best suited for a specific demo, geographic area and campaign goals
• Providing recommendations by evaluating timing and sourcing metrics
• Building relationships with media vendors and keeping up to date with industry trends
• Negotiating with media sales reps to obtain the best rates and most appropriate media placement in streaming, broadcast, outdoor and print advertising
• Booking advertising campaigns for radio, newspapers, outdoor, etc. and any other unique campaigns that would lead to increased employee applications
• Coordinating with the creative team on all material production deadlines
• Monitoring and reporting on campaign performance
• Adjusting media schedules in response to changes in labor orders
• Ensuring that schedules run accurately and follow up on paperwork, makegoods, invoice reconciliation, proof of performance and post analysis
• Budget management, including preparing costs for stakeholders and producing spending updates throughout the campaign
• Analyzing the effectiveness of the campaign and using this data to plan future programs


• Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing or related field
• 6 + years of hands-on experience in media buying
• Experience developing comprehensive media plans
• Experience identifying target audiences and developing geo-targeted campaigns


• Experience managing guerilla and blitz marketing campaigns
• Familiarity with social media, display platforms and video advertising
• Ability to think strategically and execute methodically
• High attention to detail, strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
• Precise and effective communication skills and ability to influence others
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple projects and deadlines
• Strong sense of accountability and sound personal judgment with the capacity to handle a highly ambiguous environment
