We are looking for a talented, passionate and confident leader to lead the Local Shops Sales Acquisition. A leader who has a strong background to grow programs to large scale businesses. You will have the exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in Amazon India achieving its mission of "transforming the way India buys and sells".
Amazon is looking for an experienced Sales Lead to Program Manage the seller acquisition scale up for Local Shops on Amazon in India. The Local Shops Acquisition Leader will have the opportunity to define and execute the GTM strategy for the program, working closely with key stakeholders: Sales Acquisition channels, Product and Category teams.
The incumbent in this role will be responsible for shaping the strategy, planning and executing programs to help sellers succeed in the marketplace. She/ he will define both the long-term strategy and short term plans to achieve the Local Shops program vision and deliver business results. The ideal candidate will be innovative, team oriented, an effective communicator, have a desire to participate in change and appreciate a dynamic environment with rapidly changing priorities.
We are seeking someone with demonstrated history of successfully owning a large complex business problem and leading across a cross-functional team, directly and through influence. An understanding of, and passion for, technology is highly desired.
The Local Shops on Amazon is a strategic program that has a vision to enable customers to shop from their trusted/familiar stores on Amazon, while helping shopkeepers supplement their physical footfalls (and income) with an online presence.

This position is based at Bangalore, with travel as required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 6+ years of sales experience
• Understanding of the retail and wholesale landscape in India with exposure to prior interactions with sellers and distributors
• Experience analyzing data and best practices to assess performance drivers

Basic Qualifications
The ideal candidate is a leader with a strong focus on Customer Obsession and Thinking Big, and one who has deep and broad relationships. Ideally, you'll come with proven track record at driving results, partnering cross functionally, and be adept at building consensus, aligning teams toward coherent strategies and bringing clarity to complexity.
• 8+ years of experience in sales, account management, business development, or partner management.
• Proven track record of managing and growing complex business relationship at scale.
• A strong analytical thinker consistently bring strong, data-driven business and strategic judgment to decisions.
• Ability to develop and execute sales strategies, tactics, plans, processes, systems and programs.
• Track record of personally closing large complex deals end-to-end.
• Possess a talent for responding effectively to market direction, customer needs, and competitive positioning.
• Can thrive in fast-paced dynamic environments.
• Demonstrated ability to consistently close sales and generate revenues
• Strong analytical abilities, excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and good follow-through
Preferred Qualifications
• Leadership experience in sales, program management, general management or similar functions within relevant retail industries in India.
• Demonstrated strategic thinking and success in getting buy in from Executive level management at top companies.
• Experience in a growth-oriented environment where goals were set and supervisors were held accountable for achieving goals.
• Experience designing and implementing programs that improve sales and/or field productivity.
• Ability to lead and manage at senior levels without direct authority.
• Comfortable with "hands-on" day-to-day management of tasks, resolution of problems and issues and experience in implementing action plans to meet objectives.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to express thoughts logically and succinctly.
• Demonstrated active listening skills, highly consultative and solutions-oriented.
