Language Program Manager

DESCRIPTION
Amazon Web Services is looking for an experienced Language Program Manager to join Human Language Technology Team. As a Language Program Manager for AWS you will support Data and Science teams, maintain accuracy and throughput standards and manage operational planning for future expansion. This position will be based in East Palo Alto.
Specifically, the Language Program Manager will
Manage operations of the projects, including schedule, budget, logistics, and resource planning.
Manage multiple projects at one time and prioritize as necessary.
Continuously evaluate data tools and processes and offer solutions to ensure they are efficient and scalable.
Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholder teams to develop project specifications.
Onboard new vendors and manage existing partnerships with key suppliers.
Create and review contract documents.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
A Master's degree in Engineering, Linguistics, Computer Science, Business or equivalent.
Five or more years as a Program Manager or Project Manager.
Three or more years of experience in requirements management (prioritization, tracking and validation) associated with large data collection programs and initiatives.
Experience working with speech or text data, including experience with language annotation and natural language processing.
Experience with project specification, forecasting, and reporting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in leading large, multi-track and fast-moving projects.
Practical knowledge of data processing needs and trade-offs.
Comfortable working in a fast paced, highly collaborative and dynamic work environment.
Ability to work under very tight timelines and minimum supervision.
Prior experience in ML - related fields such as Deep Learning, NLP, Classification, and Clustering.
