HR Recruiting Program Manager


The HR Recruiting team is seeking a Program Manager based in Seattle, WA to lead a critical talent assessment program within the HR4HR team and assist with managing additional critical candidate experience initiatives. The skilled, motivated and customer-obsessed Program Manager will further build out and scale the HR talent assessment program globally and ensure integration with other talent assessment programs across Amazon. Demonstrating exceptional influence and organizational acumen, the right candidate will apply thought leadership to improve our strategic direction on a global scale. The Program Manager will lead broad, impactful initiatives requiring the support of teams within HR and across the business. He/She will use a data driven approach to analyze business trends and mobilize others to ensure the talent assessment programs grow and evolve in the right way.

Core responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement innovative solutions to accelerate the program's growth in line with business goals
  • Execute and manage a program from conception and design through implementation, measurement and continuous improvement
  • Partner with clients/senior leadership to continually assess the effectiveness and scalability of the program
  • Create process improvement mechanisms on existing processes/ tools to ensure global standardization and consistency
  • Identify systems and tools to simplify workflows and improve program delivery
  • Execute continuous procedural and operational process improvements
  • Partner w/Sr. Leaders on creating mechanisms to proactively stay ahead of demand
  • Identify the appropriate metrics to measure effectiveness of special program initiatives.
  • Ensure training and continuing education mechanisms are in place in support of the program
  • Write communications to leadership and HR teams on program progression and status
  • Manage the inputs and outputs of program participants' movement through the program (nomination, progression, graduation)
  • Facilitate and lead meetings with various stakeholders on the program's status, priorities, and initiatives
  • Collaborate with Recruiting Coordinators to ensure proper scheduling approaches evolve with the changing business needs
  • Extract, analyze and communicate metrics and ensure data integrity of metrics and measures
  • Partner with global teams on program execution and enhancements

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Program Management and/or HR experience in a fast-paced environment
  • 3+ years of evident analytical capabilities with a process improvement focus and ability to influence others with data-driven recommendations
  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience in scoping, leading and delivering complex projects
  • Microsoft Office - including SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Program Management experience in a technical or large scale environment
  • Proven ability to work in a highly ambiguous environment
  • Demonstrated ability to handle responsibilities independently, while exercising good judgment
  • Effective in influencing and partnering with different levels of the organization to achieve results
  • Able to work efficiently and accurately on time sensitive matters with grace under pressure
  • Advanced prioritization and planning skills with strong attention to detail
  • Confidence in dealing with senior level staff and ability to communicate in a crisp, concise and professional manner
  • Experience designing and building a team website and/or SharePoint
  • PMP certification
  • Master's degree
